How this site works
Editorial policy
How the writing on this site is produced, labelled, dated and corrected, and how the AI assistant works.
Use of AI in drafting
Some drafts are produced with the help of AI models. A generated draft is created private and marked as requiring review, and nothing becomes public automatically: a piece is published only when it is explicitly marked public and has passed the site's publication gate.
Evidence labels
Every essay carries a label saying what kind of claim it makes.
Verified: Claims are checked against cited sources.
Owner-provided: Information supplied by Abdolmadjid; not independently checked.
First-person account: Written from the author's own experience.
Sourced, not independently verified: Claims cite sources, but have not been independently checked.
Research hypothesis: A proposal under investigation, not an established result.
Opinion: An argued position, not a factual report.
Forward-looking: Discusses developments that have not happened yet.
Not yet classified: The evidence status of this piece has not been recorded.
Dates
Each essay shows the date it was first published. When an essay is materially revised, it also shows the date of the latest update.
Corrections
Errors can be reported through the contact page. When a correction changes the substance of an essay, the essay's update date changes with it.
The site assistant
NEXUS is an AI assistant, not Abdolmadjid. It answers from what is published on this site and links to its sources; when the answer is not here, it says so and offers to pass a message on. Its answers can be wrong; the essays themselves are the reference.
Privacy
What happens to questions and messages is described on the privacy page.
